This project explores the poetic and scientific significance of natural history collections through a series of cyanotypes that reimagine specimens as traces of the planet’s memory. By working with botanical and biological archives exploring the fragile continuity between species, time, and place.
Collections are not only repositories of knowledge; they are mirrors of who we are in the broader design of the world. Each preserved fragment, fossil, or pressed leaf becomes evidence of our shared origin and an act of resistance against disappearance. Through the slow, light-based process of cyanotype, the project transforms these specimens into luminous imprints — ghostly blue constellations that speak of both preservation and loss.
