The visual identity for REC A LIL, a collaborative album by Lil Supa (VEN) and Recognize Ali (NYC). The cover originates from the illustration in the first flyer — a portrait of the artists’ multiple personas while rapping, exploring how they are all him: the storyteller. This became the seed for a new image — a portrait not of either artist, but of the entity they form together. The work examines fusion and duality: how two distinct voices, when merged, create a third presence that belongs to both and to neither.

Every detail in the composition carries this idea of convergence. The hands in the background spell L and A in sign language — subtle markers of authorship hidden within the portrait. Layers of texture and tone intertwine until their individuality dissolves into rhythm, forming a shared identity. The result is more than a cover: it’s a visual echo of collaboration, where two narratives coexist in a single image.
